District Christmas Ornaments

ornament

Celebrate the season and the creativity of Texans from across the state.

Members of the Texas House of Representatives were invited to select a constituent to create a Christmas ornament to showcase unique elements of their House Districts, a project which is now in its 16th year. These ornaments proudly adorn this native Texas tree in celebration of the many facets of our nation’s second largest state, home to over 31 million people. The photo album displayed here provides the opportunity for a closer look at the handcrafted treasures that have been received this year. Ornament albums are assembled by House District number. To look for your hometown’s district, please reference the nearby House District map.

The Texas House of Representatives is proud to display this 28-foot Virginia pine, compliments of Marshall and Sharlote Cathey of Elves Farm in Denison, Texas. Additional trees provided by the Texas Christmas Tree Growers Association located throughout the Capitol include three 7-foot Fraser firs and one 12-fo ot Fraser fir.
