Position: Legislative Aide
Location: Capitol Office (Austin)
Salary: Salary commensurate with experience and skills
Hours: Fulltime (40+ hours/week)

Description:
Representative John Lujan of House District 118 is seeking a responsible, motivated and hardworking individual to join our team in the 89th Legislative Session. The position requires effective written and oral communication skills and prior knowledge of policy and research techniques is preferred. Candidate should possess the ability to perform multiple tasks accurately and efficiently under time constraints in an individual and team environment.

Job Responsibilities:
• Manage first impressions for the Capitol Office.
• Perform routine office and other clerical duties as needed.
• Assist senior staff with relevant casework, by serving as a liaison between the office, stakeholders and state agencies.
• Prepare and assist mailing of documents and correspondence which originate from the Capitol Office.
• Assist with the preparation of legislative materials as needed by Chief of Staff and Member.
• Perform routine office and other clerical duties as needed.
