Legislative Intern
Texas State Representative James Frank is seeking a Legislative Intern to work in his Capitol Office for the 89th Legislative Session, January – May of 2025. The internship can be full-time or part-time. Salary will be commensurate with experience and ability.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating Representative Frank’s floor report by analyzing bills and assembling the report.
- Assemble the Representative’s binders for the floor calendar and committee hearings.
- Assist with constituent communications and casework.
- Conduct policy research as needed.
- Manage office phone calls.
- Welcome visitors to the office.
- Handle incoming schedule requests for the office.
- Conduct miscellaneous projects and tasks.
Qualifications
- Motivated by a strong affinity for public policy work.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal communicator, with good etiquette and a positive attitude.
