Texas State Representative

Texas State Representative James Frank is seeking a Legislative Intern to work in his Capitol Office for the 89th Legislative Session, January – May of 2025. The internship can be full-time or part-time. Salary will be commensurate with experience and ability. 

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating Representative Frank’s floor report by analyzing bills and assembling the report.
• Assemble the Representative’s binders for the floor calendar and committee hearings. 
• Assist with constituent communications and casework. 
• Conduct policy research as needed. 
• Manage office phone calls.
• Welcome visitors to the office. 
• Handle incoming schedule requests for the office. 
• Conduct miscellaneous projects and tasks. 

Qualifications

• Motivated by a strong affinity for public policy work. 
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal communicator, with good etiquette and a positive attitude.
