Biography

State Representative Briscoe Cain was elected to represent House District 128 in 2016. He is a Conservative Republican who supports limited government, less regulation, increased transparency, the value of life, and traditional family values.

Rep. Cain grew up in Deer Park, TX as the son of a refinery operator and occupational nurse where he was taught the value of hard work and commitment to community. He worked his way through college and graduate school where he earned his Bachelor's Degree from University of Houston - Downtown and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law.

Rep. Cain has a record of defending the unborn, religious liberty, and serving as the legal counsel for several individuals and organizations who promote these ideals.

He currently serves on the House Elections Committee and the House International Relations & Economic Development Committee. He is a member of the newly founded Texas Freedom Caucus and also currently honorably serves as a Captain in the Texas State Guard.

A loving husband and proud father of four boys, Rep. Cain and his wife Bergundi are residents of Deer Park and attend Faith Family Church - Baytown.

El Representante del Estado Briscoe Cain fue electo para representar al Distrito 128 en la Cámara en 2016. Es un Republicano Conservador que defiende el gobierno limitado, menos regulaciones, mayor transparencia, el valor de la vida y los valores familiares tradicionales.

El Rep. Cain creció en Deer Park, Texas, y es el hijo de un operador de refinería y una enfermera ocupacional que le enseñaron el valor del trabajo arduo y del compromiso con la comunidad. Se abrió camino a través de la universidad y la facultad, donde obtuvo su licenciatura de la Universidad de Houston, Centro y un Doctorado en Leyes en la Facultad de Derecho de la South Texas College.

El Rep. Cain tiene una trayectoria de defensa de los niños por nacer, la libertad religiosa, y de desempeñarse como asesor legal de varias personas y organizaciones que promueven esos ideales.

Actualmente se desempeña en el Comité de Elecciones de la Cámara y en el Comité de Relaciones Internacionales y Desarrollo Económico de la Cámara. Es miembro del recientemente fundado Grupo Libertad de Texas y también se desempeña honorablemente como Capitán en la Guardia del Estado de Texas.

El Rep. Cain, marido amoroso y padre orgulloso de cuatro hijos, y su esposa Bergundi, son residentes de Deer Park y asisten a la Iglesia Faith Family de Baytown.
