Rodney Anderson is currently serving his third Legislative term in the Texas House of Representatives and is honored to represent House District 105, which contains parts of Irving and Grand Prairie. HD-105 is one of the most diverse districts in the State of Texas. Representative Anderson currently serves on the House Committee on Insurance and the House Committee on Elections. In addition, Representative Anderson's Republican colleagues elected him as one of just 16 Members to serve on the Texas Republican Caucus Policy Committee.

A champion for those with disabilities, Representative Anderson passed legislation that allowed adults with mental disabilities to be eligible for Amber Alerts. During the 85th Legislative Session, Representative Anderson passed major legislation that assures access to hearing aids and cochlear implants to children with hearing disabilities.

In previous sessions, Representative Anderson served on the House Committee on Urban Affairs, House Committee on International Trade, House Committee on Economic & Small Business Development, and the House Committee on Land & Resource Management. After serving on the Land & Resource Management, Representative Anderson was named the "Freshmen Legislator of the Year" by the Texas Land and Title Association for his work on eminent domain and HOA issues.

A native of Grand Prairie, Representative Anderson attended Grand Prairie High School and later graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Real Estate in 1990. Representative Anderson is currently a Senior Vice President with Alliant National Title Insurance Company. He and his wife, Heather, have three sons.
