Summary:

The Office of State Representative Richard Hayes is seeking an experienced, bright, and motivated individual to serve as a Legislative Intern with for the Fall 2024 semester.

Primary Objective: The Legislative Intern will assume the role of primary contact for the Capitol Office of State Representative Richard Hayes and aide to senior staff.

Job Duties:

  •  Answers the phone
  •  Greets visitors
  •  Opening and distributing mail to staff
  •  Assists with constituent correspondence and casework management
  •  Conduct legislative research
  •  Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

A successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

  •  Excellent organizational and communication skills, with strong attention to detail; Self-starters, strong collaborators, and a willingness to serve the constituents of House District 57;
  •  Experience using personal computers and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; Ability to uphold strict confidentiality;
  •  Professional appearance, positive attitude, and a teamwork driven mentality.
