Rep. Talarico Files Bill to Fund Social-Emotional Learning in Schools
AUSTIN, TX – Earlier today, Speaker Phelan (Beaumont) released his committee assignments for the 87th Legislative Session. Second-term Representative, and the youngest member of the Texas House, James Talarico (Round Rock), was chosen by Speaker Phelan to sit on the Calendars, Public Education, and Juvenile Justice and Family Issues Committees.
“These committee assignments come at a pivotal moment in Texas history. As a state, we are suffering and as a community, we are wounded. In the midst of a global pandemic, we must come together to solve the many issues our constituents face,” said Talarico. “I am honored to have been trusted to sit on the Calendars, Public Education, and Juvenile Justice and Family Issues Committees and am eager to start the hard work of moving this great state forward.”
