Rep. Rhetta Bowers to participate in a panel discussion for The Texas Tribune’s Conversation Series
Austin, Texas – On Thursday, February 7th, State Representative Rhetta Andrews Bowers (HD 113) will participate in a conversation with Texas Tribune co-founder and CEO Evan Smith, alongside freshman State Representatives Jessica Gonzalez and James Talarico. The event will take place at Studio 919 at the Texas Tribune, and will last from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Representative Gonzalez was elected to represent House District 104 in November. She is a founding partner of the law firm Gandara & Gonzalez, and was previously selected as the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Law Graduate Fellow in Washington D.C. She also served as the Vice-Chair of the newly founded Texas LGBTQ Legislative Caucus.
Representative Talarico was elected to represent House District 52 in November. He is a former public school teacher and executive director for Central Texas for the non-profit Reasoning Mind. He is the youngest member of the Texas Legislature.
This conversation series is free and open to the public. Coffee and breakfast tacos will be available on a first come, first served basis. Networking begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by the interview at 8 a.m. The event will also be live streamed through The Texas Tribune’s website.
