Representative Ortega Announces District Office in Downtown El Paso
EL PASO, Texas – After proudly serving El Paso during the 85th Regular Session and subsequent Special Session, State Representative Lina Ortega invites the community to join her for the opening of the new district office.
Coffee with Lina will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. and the welcome reception will be Friday, September 1 at 2:00 p.m.Both events will be held at the office located in the Cortez Building at 310 N Mesa in Suite 519.
“I am happy to announce the opening of our district office in downtown El Paso, which will allow me to better serve my constituents,” Ortega stated.
The local District 77 office will provide assistance regarding state issues, as well as hold events with community leaders, elected officials, and state agency representatives. The morning coffee events and welcome reception will provide an opportunity to visit with Rep. Ortega about issues important to the residents of El Paso.
“After several months in Austin, I am happy to be home,” Ortega said. “I look forward to hearing more about what is important to you so that we can work towards solutions that are in the best interest of our community.”
Elected in 2016, State Representative Evelina “Lina” Ortega is currently serving her first term in the Texas House of Representatives. Lina has had a distinguished legal career, most recently working in private practice for 30 years. She has dedicated her career to helping people from all walks of life who have experienced a tragedy or misfortune or who have been wronged in their personal or professional lives. Active in community service all her life, she most recently chaired the El Paso County Ethics Commission before being elected as State Representative. Lina is married to university professor, Mark, and has two adult daughters. She is also the proud grandmother of Agustin and Elias.
