Rep. Four Price Named "Champion for Free Enterprise" by Texas Association of Business
Austin, TX --- The Texas Association of Business (TAB) recently named State Representative Four Price a "Champion for Free Enterprise" for his proactive efforts during the 2013 Texas Legislative Session to promote a strong business climate in Texas. The "Champion for Free Enterprise" distinction is TAB's highest honor and indicates that a legislator supported legislation vital to the economic prosperity of businesses, taxpayers, and Texas families.
"Texas is a model state for job creation, business development, and economic expansion, which is largely the result of our state’s pro-business, pro-growth policies," Price said. "Small business is a driving force, both in the Panhandle and in every region of our state. I was proud to support pro-business and job development legislation during the recent legislative session."
Price authored and supported a number of bills during the 2013 Legislative Session aimed at helping Texas’ businesses grow and thrive. He was a joint author of House Bill 4, which ensures that future generations of Texans will have a sustainable water supply. He also co-authored House Bill 500, which provides meaningful tax relief to businesses across the state.
"Supporting business initiatives in Texas is important for everyone," said TAB President and CEO Bill Hammond. "A good business environment helps keep our economy strong and means jobs. Representative Price knows that, and his support means Texas will stay at the top for jobs and economic growth."
