Rep. Reynolds Teams with Greater Houston Foreclosure Prevention Task Force to Reduce Fort Bend County Home Mortgage Foreclosures
MISSOURI CITY, Texas (Sept. 5, 2012) -- Representative Ron Reynolds (Fort Bend County, District 27) and the Greater Houston Foreclosure Prevention Task Force have teamed to host a foreclosure prevention event entitled, “Save Your Home – A Foreclosure Prevention Workshop.” The event is open to the public and is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Houston Community College Sienna Plantation Campus, 5855 Sienna Springs Way, Missouri City, TX 77459.
“Many of our Fort Bend residents are facing foreclosure,” said Rep. Reynolds. “That’s why I’ve teamed with the Greater Houston Foreclosure Prevention task Force to reduce the devastating impact foreclosure has on families and the community. The goal of the Save Your Home workshop is to empower homeowners with the information and resources needed to possibly prevent a foreclosure.”
Anyone facing foreclosure or who may know someone facing foreclosure is invited to attend the workshop and meet one-on-one with housing counselors and mortgage lenders. No registration is needed, but attendees are asked to bring the following documents:
One month of recent paystubs or documentation of the income you receive (e.g., child support, Social Security benefits/Pension award letter(s))
Two most recent bank statements (all pages)
Recent utility bills that include homeowner’s name and address
Homeowner’s Association dues statement, if applicable
Most recent income tax return with all Schedules and W-2s
Monthly mortgage statement showing the mortgage information and loan number
Information about other mortgages on your home, if applicable
Account balances and minimum monthly payments due on all of your credit cards
Account balances and monthly payments on your other debts (such as auto/student loans)
Estimates of other monthly expenditures (such as utility bills, food expenses, insurance payments, and auto expenses)
