Murphy to Open New District Office

~ Opening to be Preceded by Town Hall Meeting ~

Austin, Texas -- Representative Jim Murphy will be opening the new District office on Saturday September 29, 2007. Prior to the opening, he and his staff will host a Town Hall Meeting in the conference room of the 2500 City West building from 10:30am-12:00pm. Immediately thereafter, Representative Murphy will open the doors to the new district office. An open house until 1:00pm for the new office is located on the ground floor in Suite 150, just one block West of Beltway 8 on Westheimer.

"I want to be visible, accountable and assessable as your State Representative. This new office and our third Town Hall meeting fulfill that pledge," said Murphy.

Representative Murphy will discuss the 80th Legislative Session and important new legislation relating to District 133 and Harris County. Please come with questions and concerns, or simply stop by the new office to meet your State Representative, his Capitol Staff, and his new District Director.

Representative Murphy represents House District 133, which includes part of west Harris County. He serves as Vice Chair of Urban Affairs and is a member of the House Transportation and Rules and Resolutions Committees.
