Representative Nicole Collier, senior member of the House Business & Industry Committee, says town hall attendees will gain valuable insight into state agencies' procurement process

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Thursday, December 5, 2019

As a senior member of the House Business & Industry Committee, Rep. Nicole Collier is helping Texas contractors and vendors interested in doing business with state agencies, get a jump on 2020, through an informative town hall about Texas' procurement process.

HD 95 Town Hall Monday: Doing Business with Texas will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Monday, December 16, 2019, at Fort Worth Central Station, in the community room. The venue is located at 1001 Jones Street. Free parking is available across the street, at Platinum Parking.

"Contractors have tremendous opportunities to grow their businesses through our state agencies and will gain more knowledge about how each agencies conducts their bid practice," said Representative Collier.

"Our town hall will also offer attendees great insight into several procurement-related topics, including: becoming a certified HUB or DBE; getting on the state’s Centralized Master Bidder List; how to become a state-approved vendor; and how to compete and submit bid proposals," said Representative Collier.

Guest speakers will include procurement and decision-makers from several Texas agencies, including the Texas Department of Transportation, Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Texas Department of State Health Services, and the Texas Department of Information Resources.
