Representative Rosenthal Backs Landmark HB 3 to Support CFISD

"The Texas House crafted a bill that is focused on our children and it recognizes the varied needs for districts across the state. This has been a lot of work that will result in the most transformative public education finance bill in decades. I can't thank Chairman Huberty enough for his tremendous leadership. The entire Public Education Committee accomplished exactly what they set out to do," said Representative Rosenthal.
Significant changes were made today by Representative Chris Turner, Chair of the House Caucus, to ensure that the pay raise for all full-time teachers and support staff.
Cypress-Fairbanks I.S.D. Superintendent Mark Henry said, " We appreciate Representative Rosenthal representing and advocating for Cypress-Fairbanks I.S.D. It has been refreshing this session to see the legislature focused on establishing public education funding as a priority. While not a perfect bill, I believe HB 3 is a step in the right direction toward restructuring school finance and infusing more into the system. As a life-long educator, I appreciate Representative Rosenthal prioritizing public education."
