AUSTIN, TX—Representative Jon Rosenthal authored over 30 bills as bill filling deadline has arrived.

“It's evident that Jon is a voice for his constituents. He has listened to their needs, and come up with a legislative package that reflects their desire to make Texas a state that welcomes and cares about all Texans. He is a champion for respect and equity in all of his dealings. This is why the people chose him to represent House District 135, he is doing exactly what he set out to do. I am proud to call Jon a colleague, and excited to see what he does the rest of session,” said Representative Alma Allen (131), who was first elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2004.

Representative Rosenthal focused on legislation with an emphasis on school safety, education, veterans, gun safety, housing, and equity justice. All issues pertaining to House District 135, a diverse and growing area.

"I came in with a clear vision of what is important to the district, and I’m speaking up and setting those priorities,” said Rosenthal. “That’s what I was elected to do, represent everyone in my home district. I’ve enjoyed working with my new colleagues and respect their expertise. They know I’m here to get things accomplished."

Representative Charles “Doc” Anderson (56), who has been representing the people of Waco since 2004 recognized how quickly Representative Rosenthal has adapted to the Capitol. "I enjoy serving on the County Affairs committee together with Jon,” said Anderson. “He seems to be learning the legislative process very quickly. "

Chris Hollins, Vice Chair of Finance for the Texas Party stated at last month’s District Office Opening Pop-Up, Representative Rosenthal was his “favorite freshman,” and had the following to say about him: He’s just over a month in office, he’s already pushing more than 20 bills in the state legislature and these are bills for Houstonians, for Jersey Villagers and for the Cy-Fair students. Jon is fighting that fight for his neighbors, for us all, and I for one am proud to stand next to him and proud to be one of those neighbors.
