State Capitol, Austin, Texas –

Today, at the Texas State Capitol, State Representative Four Price was sworn into office for a fifth term as a member of the Texas House of Representatives. The opening day ceremony, commencing the 86th Texas Legislature, began at noon in the Texas House Chamber. Price was accompanied to the House ceremony by his wife Karen and members of their family.

Representative Price will continue to vigorously represent his constituents of Texas House District 87, which consists of Carson, Hutchinson, Moore, Potter and Sherman counties. "I am honored to continue to strongly advocate on behalf of the interest of my constituents and the entire Texas Panhandle. I have assembled a highly capable staff to assist me, and, together, we are eager to accomplish much good for the Panhandle and for Texas," stated Price. “It is truly a great privilege to be the voice at the Texas Capitol for the district where I was born, raised, attended public school, and work. My staff and I look forward to again working hard on significant and meaningful legislation that will have a positive impact in the lives of Texans," commented Representative Price.

Key priorities for Price this legislative session include:
• passing a fiscally sound budget that prioritizes public education and school finance reform,
• continuing to improve our state's health infrastructure with vigilance on further enhancing rural access for both physical health and mental health,
• strengthening higher education opportunities in the Texas Panhandle,
• protecting private property rights, including our area's groundwater, and
• continuing common sense regulatory and pro-economic development policies that encourage and enable entrepreneurs to further foster business growth and growth of jobs.

Representative Price and his staff welcome constituents to visit the Capitol Office which has relocated to E1.506, Texas Capitol.
