New road projects, dynamic tollway pricing and billing, and rate setting also to be addressed

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Tuesday, July 31, 2018

To provide clarity on the new Southeast Connector project slated to run through House District 95; shed light on the roles and responsibilities between the state and the city regarding management of state highways within the city of Fort Worth; and to familiarize constituents with dynamic toll roads, Representative Nicole Collier will hold a transportation town hall from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the Martin Luther King Community Center, located at 5565 Truman Drive, Fort Worth, 76112.

Special guests include officials from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDot), the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) and the City of Fort Worth Transportation & Public Works Department. "House District 95 is experiencing rapid growth. To accommodate the transportation needs of an expanding population, our state and local transportation agencies are designing solutions to meet the needs of current, new and future residents.

The transportation town hall will provide constituents with an opportunity to learn about their plans to relieve congestion in and around our district," said Representative Collier.

"Moreover, many of my constituents are also expressing a desire to be more informed as to which state or local entity is responsible for managing a range of issues, including which agency is responsible for mowing the grass along the highways, who authorizes large signage and who sets the toll rates. This town hall will give HD 95 residents an opportunity to ask questions and receive an immediate response from the officials in the know."

In addition to learning more about future road projects in HD 95, constituents will have an opportunity to ask questions about area road maintenance and street lighting.
