Highlighting the list of distinguished speakers are Harris County Judge Ed Emmett, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, former U.S. Ambassador to Qatar Chase Untermeyer, FOX 26 News anchor Melissa Wilson, and Harris County Flood Control Meteorologist Jeff Lindner.

Other participants include: Lauren Berryhill, Donna Bahorich, Jeannie Bollinger, Bryan Collier, Dale Craymer, Chris Daniel, Councilman Jerry Davis, Sherry Fox, Dr. Neil Frank, Dr. Jim Granato, Representative Ana Hernandez, Patrick Jankowski, Judge Michael Landrum, Linda Lorelle, Judge Debra Mayfield, Pam McGinnis, Mayor Brian Muecke, Mayor Tom Ramsey, Councilman David Robinson, Tim Stone, Bill Thorne, Councilman Greg Travis, and Representative James White.

The summit opens with one-on-one professional networking advice from community leaders. The day continues with a mix of panel discussions and small group sessions. Teens will personally select two topics for small group discussion from issues of school finance, climate change, taxation, and modern career paths.

The West Houston Teen Leadership Summit cultivates that talent through the generous support of our business community sponsors, and through the quality of the interactions between incredible community leaders and our participants." said Representative Jim Murphy.

This year's event is expected to be at full capacity, exceeding two hundred participants from nearly 20 West Houston high schools. It is free of charge to all participants.
