AUSTIN – Ernst & Young LLP (EY) has chosen San Antonio as the home of a new client service delivery center for its Financial Services Organization, Governor Greg Abbott announced Wednesday. The new center will include a capital investment of more than $10 million and the creation of 600 new jobs.
Ernst and Young has been extended a grant offer of $2.625 million from the Texas Enterprise Fund, which the state uses to help recruit employers to Texas. Grants are issued by the Governor’s office with approval from the Speaker of the House and the Lieutenant Governor.
House Speaker Joe Straus of San Antonio released the following statement:
“This decision by EY proves that San Antonio is a great place to create jobs. These new EY employees will make an immediate and substantial contribution to our community and our local economy. I was proud to support this application for an Enterprise Fund grant and will keep working to ensure that Texas is taking the right steps to attract private-sector investment in the future.”
