Austin, TX – Wednesday, January 11, 2016 -- State Representative Rodney Anderson was sworn in to his third term in the Texas House of Representatives yesterday, January 10, 2017. He represents House District 105 which includes portions of Irving and Grand Prairie.
“I am honored that the citizens of Irving and Grand Prairie voted for me to return to the legislature for another term,” said Representative Anderson. “House District 105 is one of the most diverse districts in the entire state. I would not be here today without broad support from across our community, and I look forward to serving all citizens of our district, regardless of how they voted. All constituents of House District 105 are welcome in both my district and capitol office."
“I look forward to working alongside members in the Texas House to address some of Texas’ biggest issues including: broad-based economic growth that creates good paying jobs for our hard-working families, property tax reform to help ensure our citizens keep more of what they earn, CPS reforms to protect our most vulnerable Texas children, and education reforms such as eliminating the flawed STAAR Test to ensure more dollars are getting to the classroom and our teachers are empowered to help our students achieve.”
