State Representative James White Joins Governor Abbott In Standing With Law Enforcement In Texas  print page

by: Rep. White, James

Austin, TX - State Representative James White will join in Governor Abbott's call to stand with law enforcement in Texas. In memory of Harris County Sheriff Deputy Darren Goforth, Governor Abbott has asked patrol cars to line the North drive of the Capitol at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 4th, and join in unity in turning on their red and blue flashing lights. The one minute flashing of lights will take place at the same time Deputy Goforth's funeral is set to begin.

"I commend Governor Abbott for issuing this statewide call to not only stand with law enforcement but to honor the life of Deputy Goforth. This life is a great loss to our State; my thoughts and prayers are with the Goforth family at this time," said Rep. White.

State Representative James White asks that elected officials, law enforcement officers, and the Southeast Texas community join in this call and stand with our law enforcement community; a community that stands with Texans each and every day.
