Participants will address acute issues impacting Arlington and Grand Prairie

ARLINGTON, TX – On Saturday, May 17, State Representative Chris Turner will host "Texas 101 Day," an interactive event for members of the community to discuss acute issues impacting residents of Arlington and Grand Prairie. After Turner briefly reports about the "State of the District," attendees will divide into several groups and discuss how to address specific issues head on, in order to progress as a community.

The issues to be discussed include: public transportation, jobs, payday lending and healthcare.

"The answers to our challenges do not always come from Austin, they often come from the life experiences and needs of those in the district," said Turner. "The goal of Texas 101 Day is to give attendees a voice and the opportunity to work together to find solutions to issues impacting so many in our community."
